For reasons of international familial heritage - and an excuse to over indulge - my family and I are blessed by the good chap upstairs in being able to celebrate Christmas for two days straight starting… well, after I’ve posted this blog post.
Before I open up a bottle of something yet to be decided - a very difficult choice, but a challenge I none the less manage to conquer every year - I wanted to wish you and all those near and dear to you a very Merry Christmas.
Thank you for turning up here and reading the blog this year. I remain humbled and inspired that so many of you find time in your busy days to read the Banker's Umbrella. I’m even more humbled by the fact that still, two years in, you have done so in increasing numbers during 2014. Yesterday the Banker’s Umbrella broke 18 000 followers on Twitter and the readership of the blog has nearly doubled year to date.
I wish I could thank you all individually, but I won’t because I simply don’t have the time (and I think I know what bottle I want to open and am suddenly feeling very thirsty).
One of the drivers of the success of the blog has been the fact that so many major publications have requested exclusive articles or published/recommended existing articles from the blog. (As a piece of advice to all aspiring bloggers; nothing brings in the punters like a mention in a big publication).
My special thanks therefore go to:
With that, I thank you again and hope you have a great Christmas and remember!
Love the people that love you, the rest are here for your amusement.
