The point of this blog is to make banking and finance easy for anyone who has the ability to read. No finance degree required. Just sit back, have a drink and enjoy. All are welcome here, none are mocked. This blog never laughs at you, but it does want to laugh with you.
What I do try to achieve is to get interesting stuff that’s not mentioned in the media to you before it gets mentioned in the media. In this age of super fast information that’s not an easy task. Honestly, its hard work. However, I’ve been able to achieve this quite a few times during the 10 months this blog has been up and running.
To put in even clearer terms: I’m a very happy banker if the information I've provided has made you look smart in front of your friends and loved ones. Seriously, that’s my benchmark.
I’d love to take credit for it and claim to be plenty smart, but that’s not it. I've just got a few tricks up my tailored cuffs. Actually the recipe is rather simple: Two ears, two eyes, one mouth. Used in those proportions: Listen twice, look twice, speak once and more often than not, you’ll get to the nighty gritty of the issue.
Case in point is my Yogi Bear post two days ago. Just have a look at how the Google search terms “default” and “shutdown” have increased during the past week.
Remember: I’m here to help you. Trust me, I’m a banker.
